Dr. Jin Lee discusses X-linked Neurodevelopmental Disorders (Cure NDD) and her books for adults and children!!!

There will be books for sale too! hope you can join us.

We will begin with A brief discussion/overview of Lee's book - 'Living with Fire', highlighting key insights and takeaways for patients and families navigating autoimmune and inflammatory conditions

Followed by readings of the two children’s books, which focus on supporting children and families navigating genetic and chronic conditions.

If children are in attendance there will be a short coloring activity for them to enjoy too!

'Living with Fire' is a patient-centered guide that brings together expert insights, patient stories, and practical strategies to help individuals living with autoimmune and inflammatory diseases feel informed, supported, and empowered.

'My Magic X' is a children’s book created for kids with X-linked and rare genetic conditions, helping them understand and celebrate what makes them unique in an empowering, age-appropriate way.

'Little Hands, Big Comfort' is a children’s book that follows a child learning how small acts of love and care can bring comfort when a parent is living with chronic illness, helping families start meaningful conversations around empathy and resilience.

BIO:
Dr. Jin Lee PHD is a founding Board Member of the Consortium for Understanding, Research, and Education in X-linked Neurodevelopmental Disorders (Cure NDD)—an international nonprofit uniting researchers, clinicians, patient advocates, and families to accelerate discovery, share knowledge, and drive innovative therapies for X-linked NDDs. She's also a caregiver to a family member with a rare disease linked to the X chromosome.

Dr. Lee held leadership roles across biopharma, health insurance, and major hospital systems in innovation and ventures, and currently serves on multiple startup and nonprofit boards. A Presidential Leadership Scholar nominated by four American Presidential Centers, she has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Impactful Women and Allies Shaping the Future of Biopharma, Healthcare, and Life Sciences. Dr. Lee holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
