Remember to support YOUR local book store. August and September were slow months for BookTree so please do what you are able to encourage people to visit and shop BookTree. New, Gently-used books, gift certificates, bookclubs, and special events.
Tuesdays at 11AM we offer StoryTime. Bring the kids and enjoy!
UPDATE!!! This Saturday's (October 7th) Event has been rescheduled to October 28th! Sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment it could not be avoided.
On Sunday October 8th beginning at 1PM bring the family to meet Ilona Bray and learn some secrets about flying magic carpets! Bray's delightful new book is called Mossby's Magic Carpet Handbook! Don't miss what is sure to be a fun afternoon and maybe get a signed copy of two of the book while you are at it (great for gifts)!

She wrote the acclaimed award nominated early reader chapter book Unusual Chickens for the Exceptional Poultry Farmer and her new YA book is Murder, Magic, and What We Wore.
You know about our Reading Circle Book Club. Anyone and everyone can join. Just read the book and attend our monthly book club discussion meeting. And I expect to be booking the author of a brand new book all about Kirkland shortly and perhaps another surprise or two. So stay tuned.
All of this is possible because last year Kirkland became the home of a new independent bookstore. Some very generous Kirkland residents helped to make it possible. Let's keep it going shall we? Remember to support BookTree!
