June Events You Don't Want to Miss

Lots of just published books have arrived at BookTree perfect for summer reading or giving as gifts.  We now have Loyalty Cards and every $20 you spend on a new book earns you a stamp, when you fill the card up you get $25 to use on your next purchase of new books!

We also have the books Mary Ann Gwinn recommends as great summer reads, and we have signed Toni Yuly books and copies of her favorite classic children's books.  We also have the books Bill Gates has on his Summer must read list.  We can help recommend and find a great book for you to read, give as a gift, or read at bedtime to the kids or grand kids.   We are also happy to order anything in print that we don't have in the store.

StoryTime happens every Wednesday at 11 a.m.  On June 21st we have a very very special StoryTime.  Two children authors will be dropping into the store around 11AM to join Sandy in reading, singing and playing with kids and families that join us.  Liz Wong, the author of the recent Award Winning Quackers (about a cat who thinks it's a duck) and Kelly Jones the author of the early award nominated chapter book  Unusual Chickens for the Exceptional Poultry Farmer will be joining us for a special memorable StoryTime.  It's FREE!  Hope YOU can make it.   Please share this Facebook Event Page with everyone you know!

This Saturday June 17th  We present our Third Saturday Free Workshop and Reading.  Accomplished award winning poet Judith Skillman starts things off by leading a workshop from 4:30 to 6PM.  And then from 6:15 to 8PM  Judith and Brendan McBreen are our featured readers which is followed by an open mic where anyone can read and share a poem or very short prose piece they wrote (around 3 to 4 minutes max.).  Yes, you can share our Third Saturday Event Page and let everyone know about the worthwhile free events BookTree hosts!

On Saturday June 24th at 3:30 PM  you won't want to miss meeting Linnea Westerlind.  Her informative and useful book is called Discovering Seattle Parks:A Local's Guide that is just available this week!   Linnea has visited each of Seattle’s 426 city parks, —making her the absolutely perfect person to guide you to just the right park for your picnic, an outing with the kids, family reunion, or simply a fun new place to explore. In Discovering Seattle’s Parks Linnea has researched every single park she describes, and  includes detailed information and descriptions.  Please share this Facebook Event Page with family and friends.
